Biography

Clinical Coordinator Neonatal Comfort Care Program Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital

Is the Clinical Coordinator of the Neonatal Comfort Care Program at New York Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital (CHONY).

In this role she is an invaluable support to families faced with life limiting diagnosis for their child. She schedules and participates in prenatal consults, provides emotional and psychological support to families, attends deliveries, educates and supports staff and participates in research.

Fran was a bedside Neonatal nurse at CHONY for 28 years before assuming her position in the Comfort Care Program. She received a Master of Science in Nursing from Columbia University School of Nursing as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and is certified in Perinatal Loss Care.

Fran is a member of the CHONY Bereavement Committee and the CHONY Friends of PACT. She is keen to teach new neonatal nurses and others about bereavement support and Perinatal Hospice care pathways.
